I called the MA Department of Telecommunications & Cable phone number to inquire on a solution or procedure for how to handle or prevent the inordinate number of nuisance calls/robo-calls that are generated to both mobile and residential phone lines. I received some helpful suggestions on how to filter out unwanted calls but still receive calls from my personal contact callers. So as a result of that information I have at least some remedy to follow up on for avoiding unwanted calls but not lose the calls I want to receive. ... read more
I agree with Ted Timpone - a complete waste of tax payer dollars. This agency is in gross dereliction of it's duties. Complaints are not handled or investigated properly, they act more like mouthpieces for the Corporations they are charged with regulating, making excuses not to proceed or do anything. They are content to allow Verizon to run amuck as a monopoly and violate the regulations consistently and claim there is no action to take. This is a totally fraudulent use of tax payer dollars. Marissa who handled my case was no help in my opinion. This department should be defunded. In my opinion they are there to protect Verizon and their shady business practices. I would recommend if Verizon rips you off you warn everyone you know about it on social media cause this government agency is not protecting consumers in my opinion.
