Absolutely awful staff ... Nothing to say but - worst customer service/ public servants 🤔 Nope! Just sad
I've done all that I can do to get ANY type of help from them for 7 months. They assigned me a caseworker without my knowledge, transferred my case from Oakland to Berkeley, then closed my case without notifying me or giving me a reason. I've emailed the supervisor and called multiple times- no response. They are uncommunicative and a waste of time. What a shame. Imagine actually getting help in this ableist world...what a joke.
DOR is flawed, and the counselors and team managers in this Berkeley location rigidly stand by their flawed regulations without any bit of advocacy. I think in order to be truly helpful to every kind of disability, their regulations need to be more flexible.
Zero help. Not worth the trouble. Funding would be better spent elsewhere. Once you're assigned a case manager, months after applying and doing the many humiliating and exhausting things they require in order to prove you're disabled and worthy of access to support services, be prepared to be talked down to, ignored, lied to and handed off to the land of leaving voice mail after voicemal because you'll be told that they're not receiving your emails and they definitely don't answer the phones, at least the case manager I was ... read more
