I am a retired veterinarian. Sent a puppy to be euthanized because it was suffering and they let it lie around dying for 2 hours on a “quiet” night before they ever touched it. Then they “tortured” it by trying to place a catheter in it to be able to euthanize it.(There was a better way to handle this situation). That’s not okay. Let’s talk about the facts, things that were documented or observed. In reference to my visit to Denver Animal Emergency 1420 NC 16 Business Denver, NC 28037 Juno is a 7 year old Belgian Malanois trained in protection. His is not vicious but could possibly be aggressive if provoked. This was explained to staff. Juno was examined, blood drawn. Blood work came back as elevated white blood cell count which was explained later by Dr Andrew Pierce that is an indicator for infection or inflammation. Neither were ever treated. ... read more

I highly recommend them. The staff are very caring and patient. We unfortunately had to put our 10yr German Shepherd down due to a growing mass. The staff was so patient with us and had an area set up outside in the back that had a very comforting feeling to it. We got to be with him and that meant a lot to me and my family. They waited on us to tell them when we were ready and never rushed us and were so sympathetic toward myself and my family. Long wait but that’s probably due to this COVID-19, but I’m glad they’re there 24 hours if I ever need them. Life savers!
