Normally lines are extremely long but during my visit yesterday it went by pretty quick. Only waited for about 15 minutes and Christine was wonderful.
I had a terrible experience at this location today. I went to renew my registration and was told that I need to go to Collin county. Despite knowing my address has always been considered Denton county, I trusted the woman at lane 4 and drove 20 minutes to the Collin county tax office. I waited for for over an hour for them to tell me that I am Denton county and that their system won’t even let them process anything because my address is for Denton county. I came here to renew my car registration twice and the wait wasn't bad, the only thing is that some of the ladies behind the counter did not have very good customer service both times I went. Like others have mentioned, their tones were very condecending and short, and a bit uppity if I'm being completely honest. Also, I noticed that they were mostly like that to the minorities and spanish speakers. I could be wrong, thats what I noticed. I went to transfer a title, register a car, and request a placard. It took 1 hour from the time I arrived until I left, not bad considering the number of people, and the number of corrections needed that were my fault. Katherine was very helpful and patient. Her supervisor was also very helpful. It was a positive experience and exceeded my expectations. Thanks, Carrollton Tax office.
