Hopefully you don’t have the misfortune of having Dr. Tanner has your ER physician. He orders tests and doesn’t even look at your child. He did even shine a light on my kid. Was in the ER for 5 hours and got an xray and no results for a concern I didn’t even express. He doesn’t want to be there

If I could give zero stars I would. This doctor is wildly unhelpful, making terrifying situations with children even worse. Instead of providing guidance and education to parents, he is short and dismissive without empathy. I pray no parent has to entrust their children to this “provider.”

Threatened to call CPS on us for wanting to get a second opinion from our PCP before giving our 4 day old a spinal tap. As first time parents we were terrified and very reluctantly agreed after hearing horror stories about babies being taken away (this was May 2020 so LOTS of drama at the time). After 48 hours and 20,000 we learned our baby boy was perfectly fine and as we thought... none of that was necessary. I will never stop talking about how we were treated.

He said our labs were normal with our baby in the ER, but they were not. If he had reviewed the labs with us, we could have asked for a different panel to look at her kidney function, but now she needs more appointments and another painful blood draw. She has had numerous ear infections, but he was already jumping to blood work and urinalysis so I had to ask him to look in her ears. He barely examined her or spent any time with us.
