Thought this place was good at first for my child who has autism. 4 months later I take her to see Coretta the psychiatrist and the whole visit was weird! She needed fasting blood work done. They call the next day at 8am asking if the blood work was done!??? Told them I would wait for her dr appt in a few days since she’s autistic and hates needles. This place is horrible. Was prescribed Lithium, but never had my levels checked and ended up acquiring Lithium Toxicity. Was put on TDO after someone falsified records and altered my statements. Had insurance that didn't pay for mental health and was still charged the insurance rate. This place is horrible, got treated like a criminal and sent to a mental hospital where I was treated like garbage. Made complaints and everything was ignored.
This place needs to be shut down or at least find people who actually care. I'll never go here ever again. I pleaded for help from this place only to be told that everything I was struggling with and the "thoughts" I was having were my "symptoms talking." This happened less than a month after I was discharged from a Crisis Stabilization Program.
Everyone we dealt with was courteous and kind and helped us get what we needed. Very professional.
They said that cutting was for attention and that no one cuts because they are suicidal. This is a perfect example of why these services fail us and suicide rates have skyrocketed. I'm sickened. Do better.
