We rented a double kayak from Melodie and she helped us get equipped and ready to go. We enjoyed a gorgeous paddle down around the point of the island, and circled the lighthouse on Chrome Island as the sun set while being followed by a curious seal. Our adventure got even more epic when we misjudged our return spot and ended up overshooting, finally figuring out that we were at the Filongley Provincial Park campground as it started to get dark. If you’re trying to find heaven, it's your place
Melodie and Marco were the best! They started where my grandson and I were at in terms of low skill and gave us such great guidance and care as we headed out for a first lesson on some pretty rough water. My grandson did really well under Marco’s tutelage. The two dogs were an additional delight. Melodie answered my query about lessons immediately and both she and Marco were fabulous hosts. We want lessons only with Denman Hornby Kayak in future. It’s more than worth the (very pleasant) ferry ride to Denman from Hornby.
