I will not be going back to Dr. Gill. He is not at all patient with little children that may have dental anxiety. Perhaps this isn't the right field if you don't have the patience to "deal" with kids.
My kids have been patients of this practice for over 10 years and have had great treatment from cleanings to orthodontics and everything in between. They are great with all ages from nervous toddlers to disinterested teenagers. I always recommend them as a first pediatric dental choice because they're so good with reluctant littles. And they made sure my kids' teeth were fully ready for orthodontics instead of starting too young and requiring multiple phases. Today I had the pleasure of attending my umpteenth appointment with Dr. DeMaria. Like I've stated in the past, I just had to follow Dr. Mark and continue my journey to a confident smile with him once he opened his own practice. I adore the atmosphere he and his team provide. Personal care, empathy, and professionalism. Truly a family oriented orthodontist. He addresses any concerns (which are slim) and handles each process with grace, as does everyone else. Perhaps it was just a bad day for Dr. Gill since I see a lot of glowing reviews, or perhaps our expectations were too high. My almost 4 year old daughter was taken to Dr. Gill’s office for a routine cleaning/checkup. The hygienist was gentle, patient and kind throughout the cleaning process and my daughter tolerated that portion of the visit very well. That is where the positive experience ends.
