Last Christmas I decided to take a trip to Vietnam. I called around and shopped on the internet, the best rate I got was around \$1580 (last minute trip). Fortunately, I found Deluxe Holiday and booked my flight to Vietnam from SF for \$1235. Unfortunately I was not able to obtain the visa to enter VN due to issue on the Vietnamese govt side.
