My St Augustine grass (placed on Deltas premium recommended soil) looked okay at first and started to show brown spots early on. As a first time sod purchaser I continued following their instructions as far as watering. Winter came and some more brown areas appeared. I figured the grass was dormant. Now that it’s spring, a third of the grass is dead. A lawn guy told me it was brown patch fungus. When I told him when the brown spots started to appear, he told me the sod likely came diseased.
