My general philosophy on reviews is that I only write positive ones, but I am making an exception today. Our flight was cancelled after we had made it through TSA and were already at the airport. Initially we were rescheduled for a flight 10 hours later. Things happen, we get that. So, we go to the Delta help station to see our options and decide to take a flight into Orlando, instead of Tampa- so we can leave around our original departure time. Electrical fire on our plane this morning out of Detroit while we were in the air. Cabin filled with smoke and electrical fire smell and the plane turned around back to Detroit. Missed our connection in Amsterdam. Airline has no way to contact a family member we were meeting there to continue our travels on Delta. The agent on the “black phones” gave us incorrect information about connecting flights to our destination out of Amsterdam.
