Absolutely zero stars. I was honest upfront what I need and a game plan about orthodontics overcrowded issues for my 2 sons. They never shared that nothing is covered upfront. I waited months while They collected almost $100 a month from me for several months before I was told they have zero coverage. A single mother got scammed and I hope the top dogs listen and review the recorded calls by your people. This is taking advantage of people who are trying so hard on their own. Shame on you! Never trust these people or plan.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Delta Dental is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. If you are a ******** that works in the **, do NOT opt for insurance with this company. I've been waiting over 6 months to be reimbursed for my dental cleaning which has been consistently denied because they can't read the ******** procedure codes. Delta Dental EOB information is not available on the website. When trying to view paid claim EOBs there is always an error and they are not available. The company does not fix this issue. Delta Dental of Michigan healthcare info cannot be accessed while traveling abroad which I have to do for my work. The company said this is due to HIPPAA but my dental and other healthcare information is available to file claims and manage my benefits while traveling. Before I leave Michigan for ******* I notified HAP that I'll stay in ******* for few months. I had the worst customer service experience when I called on Monday November 23, 2020. The rep absolutely had no interest in helping or offering any viable solutions. I asked that they honor a crown that needs to be replaced because of a botched procedure in 2017. They wanted me to write a letter to their corporate office explaining my request and wait over 30 days for a response. I have two complaints with Delta Dental. The first is their material regarding their plan is very misleading as respects the end customer responsibility. On Delta Dental's website, as well as the other information I reviewed, Delta Dental states that going to a Delta Dental Premier Dentist on the PPO standard plan will result in an 80% copay, as opposed to 100% for a participating provider. Violating patient's autonomy and doctor-patient decision making about the kind of treatment the patient is willing to receive.
Have had Delta Dental my entire life and recently had to switch to an Individual plan. Now they will not pay their portion of my claim and I have to wait 6 months before they will cover it?! In 6 months I will need a root canal!
