The airline never maintains their planes. I am taking DL4885 flight. They just noticed the plane’s door is not getting closed. So they have to see if there is enough gas in the plane if there is not they need to refuel the plane. Another update, they noticed another issue on the plane. All those have to be completed before flight. And as they always do, they will change the flight and put you on another one without asking and they will charge you this. The Delta check-in area at Gerald R. Ford International is clean and easy to find on Floor 1. There are plenty of self-service kiosks available, which makes printing bag tags quick and straightforward if you’re tech-savvy. However, the experience felt a bit impersonal. The line moved at a moderate pace, but it seemed understaffed for the morning rush; finding an actual agent to help with a specific question took longer than it should have. Never got skymiles added to my acct. Called and got chat. After provided them with ticket no. flight no. and confirmation no. of the flight it took them a full hour to come back and say sorry we cannot help. Most incompetent service I have ever had. They brag about skymile perks but they never add your earned miles to your acct.
