Dr Shoquist does really care about your wellbeing. He’s not a “pill pusher” at all, which i appreciate. I’m apprehensive of going on new medication or high doses. He’ll work with me to keep you on the lowest effective dose. He’s very available as well which has been very appreciated. I sometimes feel that he comes across as a little “cold” but I realize that he’s not a counselor. I believe he has my best interest in mind and that’s what matters to me.
*Update: The year is 2023 and Dr. Shoquist is still my doctor and I’m still very happy with him* I've been going to Dr. Shoquist of Delphi Psychiatry for almost 5 years and I can honestly say I've never been happier in my life than I am right now. Lifelong depression, paralyzing anxiety, panic attacks, extreme highs and lows, suicidal thoughts, the list goes on, it was all having a debilitating effect on me. Please don't go here, all you will get is prescriptions, he will not listen to the root issue. I was suffering for sudden panic attacks, that I never had before, after a medical procedure. I told him I thought something was wrong and I had to go the ER. He looked at me and asked "Do you think people look at you and actually think you are sick?
