I hired DeLong to remove a few trees off of our property before installation of shed and privacy fence. They work hard and efficient. They had the trees removed in no time at all. They cut and stacked a nice stack of firewood for us and removed the rest of the debris. They came back a few days later to grind out the stumps since they have a different crew that performs that task. I had DeLong Forestry and Landscaping come over and check out some trees that we had on our property. Ron that stopped out first to give me a quote was a wealth of information about trees! He pointed out exactly what was wrong with the trees and explained why some would need cut down and others should just need thinned out. He said that it appeared the previous owner had topped the trees out and explained to us why you should never do that. Finding a tree company that was affordable was very hard due to two walnut trees being between a neighbors house and our brand new privacy fence. We called and got a quote and on Thursday signed our agreement. On Friday they came to start the removal. They did an amazing job especially since he had to do all of the cutting by climbing the trees and roping it. On Saturday they returned and worked all day only leaving maybe 3 hrs of work! They did an decent job w removal of 2 trees, but took 4 days to do a job that they estimated would take a day and a half. Most annoyed that on the last day they squeezed equipment past 2 healthy trees and scrapped a hand sized piece off redbud trunk and scrapped off a foot by foot and half of all the bark off bottom and roots of maple.
