Our older daughters got to experience the mining hubby and I did 23 years ago. Gavin helped explain their gems. We even made meaningful jewelry purchases for our daughters. He was very knowledgeable.
I got a fossil bucket for $≈25 and got pretty much nothing. I’ve had things come out of my URETHRA more interesting than what was in the bucket. Additionally, I lost a piece of what was in the bucket and despite a mediocre attempt at recovery by one of the staff, it remained !GONE! with no replacement. I AM REPULSED AND SICKENED. SICKENED!!!

The store items are really pretty. The mining thing where you sift for stones and gems was cool, but not really worth the amount of stuff you may get out of it. I knew what my stones were so I skipped the identification part. When i went to check out my items, the guy checking me out seemed rude. He asked if id like to have my stones identified, I said no thanks because I didn't feel like I needed to.
