CLOSED. Delightful Pastries is not at the French Market anymore. I walked around the whole market looking for some quiche expecting to find this place because Google said it was open. Zero stars for Google
I've been by this market a bunch of times but have never gone inside. After looking around, I decided to stop here because the baked goods looked good. I got the banana bread and expected it to taste like lots of others I'd had, but it was different than those others. It seemed more substantial and had a glaze on the outside. This location is in the French Market. There are a lot of options, but their pastries are awesome! Try the macaroons, they melt in your mouth! #CitiExperts @Localguides
Just spent more than $120 on paczki at their Clinton location to discover there is almost no filling in them!!! WTF?? I selected flavors because I expected I would taste them! You can hardly tell the difference between one flavor and the next because there such little filling! Absolute rip off and shame on the business owner for trying to cut corners - all they really did was cut quality and damage their reputation. Delightful Pastries is one of my guilty pleasure spots at the market. They have sandwiches for lunch though I've primarily been there for breakfast or desert. I've mainly grabbed their donuts, danishes (probably my favorite thing to order here) and when I want to get out of trouble at home - their Macaroons for my wife. (I enjoy a good Macaroon but she loves them!) With a variety of flavors of all of the above you can never go wrong here!
