Mr. Delagado quoted me $350 to paint the hood for my 1998 Mercedes SL500, no prep. I ended up offering him $450 to sand prep the hood for paint. There was a corner on the front of the hood that had previously been patched with body putty, that I expected to be taken care of along with any chips to be sanded down. Now the paint has cracked in that corner.
