This is where I come for a train ride either on an open car or in a coach.
Great time had by all. Family friendly. Kids had a blast they were never on a train before. Conductor was super nice he let the kids into the caboose at the end of the ride and they were so excited. Adults loved it too, it was an experience, can't wait for the track and ride to extend past Fleischmanns.
My mother Eileen Miller was the original caterer when it first opened and ran the caboose for food and beverage. My children grew up riding on it and my grandson started riding on it before the pandemic. He especially enjoyed the Train Robbery. Everyone always loved putting pennies on the track as they waited for the train to turn around. I’m so happy it has reopened and all the memories that go with it. My family now lives on Dry Brook Rd . I look forward to traveling on it when I return after the summer.
We had tickets for the dining car. The train ride was so fun, such a great and novel experience. The train was pristine and the food was delightful. We so enjoyed the outdoor car after our meal. Truly an incredible experience and a must for the Catskills for locals and visitors alike.
