Crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge for the first time is a truly amazing experience, especially when the sun goes down and the sunset reflects beautifully over the river. The massive twin span structure feels incredibly safe and smooth to drive across, offering breathtaking, elevated views of the entire area. It is a beautiful, historic welcome to Delaware that turned an ordinary road trip into a noteworthy highlight for our family!
I may be biased as a Michigander (we have the best with the Mackinaw Bridge lol), but this one felt sturdy and safe too. It got us over the Delaware river safely! Thankfully people were courteous and cautious.

The bridge is well-maintained, and traffic usually flows well except during peak hours or holiday weekends. It’s a vital link for travelers and commerce alike. You can really appreciate the scale and engineering when you’re crossing it. Definitely one of the more memorable bridges on the East Coast!
We crossed on our way to Philadelphia and on our return to Baltimore. It was a clean and strong bridge with a great view and clear signals. The sky was remarkable when we travelled, creating a more enjoyable driving experience. This wasn't our first time crossing, and it won't be our last. Drive safe everyone!
This bridge is always pleasant to me. I get happy because I cross out of Jersey and into Delaware. It only seems like you’re in Delaware for about 10 minutes but that’s fine. It has some nice views of the water if your car is a little higher up.
