Delaware Hospice provided in-home care for my mother, and as her caregiver, I could not have chosen a better agency. When our family required hospice resources again, this agency is the only one we considered.
I am forever grateful to everything that Hospice helped me with while my husband was going through his Parkinson’s. Everyone involved, seems to be gifted with kindness, and respect, and they have a heart for helping. My sweetheart, got to die at home (with the atmosphere and surroundings, that he was comfortable with, instead of a hospital room… I could not have done that without Hospice of Delaware (especially the Kent County staff.)
My daddy was in the care of Delaware Hospice of Dover for a couple of months prior to his passing. They were amazing from the beginning all the way up to the end. The nurses that visited the house were amazing they were so caring and would listed to my daddy rattle on story after story of his life. They never appeared to be in a hurry and always maintained his dignity. His main nurse would even talk about his stories to him even after he became nonverbal. My mom fought a nine year battle with dementia. My father and I were her caregivers until she fell and broke her pelvis. She came home from rehab with Delaware Hospice. Her nurse Kristal and aide Monica were absolutely fantastic with mom and they taught us so much about how to care for her.
