Went to deja vu expecting spectacular but ended up disappointed. The atmosphere and the food was nothing like their website presented. The food was cold and the kids meal pizza looked like something you would buy out of the frozen food section. The customer service was unsatisfactory. On top of that how is this a soul food restaurant with no fried chicken? We love to try new restaurants and support our local eateries. This is not to shut them down but encourage them to do better.
I purchased a Groupon for Dejavu a couple months ago based upon their website and some of the reviews. I went to go redeem the Groupon last week and the prices on the menu online are much lower than in the restaurant. I'm talking $4 lower. The shrimp dinner online is $12.50 and $16.99 in the restaurant. For that price I received 8 small shrimp, 2 small scoops of Mac and cheese, and 2 small scoops of green beans. Its my place...all the comforts for those such as myself..great food ..great service..
Food was great and presented well. My problem is when I walked it it was a nice chill place with jazz playing. 3/4 through my meal (8:22 exactly) a DJ started playing and it turns to more of a club. Great food, very disappointed.
