Amazing – Enjoyed it the first time i went there about a year ago. Fell madly in love over the weekend on my 2nd visit. Quite possibly the best meal of my life. highly recommend the filet. cooked to perfection. spinach underneath to die for and foie gras on top could bring a tear to your eye. salad with pears and gorgonzola also special. tried number of friends dishes as well-- excellent rabbit, gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce was sinful and seafood risotto was very nice. the service was spectacular -- friendly and helpf... read more
If you love it here take their cooking classes This midtown eastside restaurant is perfect for business lunches. They definitely cater to the business crowd that order lots of drinks and tip generously. The wait staff isn't very attentive to "ordinary diners" who wander into this restaurant. The menu is pricey but some of the offerings are really good - the pasta fruitta di mare is one of the best. However, if it is someone's birthday, do NOT let them bring out a cake. They will cut the cake into pieces for everyone and char... read more
Hidden Tuscan Hideaway – I am not sure where to begin, lets see the building looks like a Brownstone, then you go down the steps and are greeted and welcomed into this hidden Tuscan hideaway. The ambience, fresh flowers, and atmosphere was romantic, quaint, and welcoming, luckily we had made a reservation because almost all the tables were full. My family was seated and we had attentive service right away. The wine list was extensive and the menu offered an array of fish, pasta dishes, poultry and meats. We started with the ... read more
Underwhelmed.... – Service was adequate, at best (though there were only 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant....Our party of two was the first seated, by about 20 minutes. Despite our reservation, could they have thought we were there for an Early Bird Special at 6:00PM and treated us accordingly???). Lots of staff standing around in small groups talking, not all that attentive to their assigned patrons. Food was good, but the "sumptuous" and "generous" portions were anything but (neither of us are what you would call... read more
The best branzion I have ever had....filed tableside. deGrezia is a real winner! – I live upstairs from DeGrezia and had never been there after 10 years of living in Midtown. This restaurant is AWESOME! From the service (the best maitre d' in the city) to the incredible food, DeGrezia is a real winner. A great special occasion restaurant...or any other time! Very highly recommended!
Great Italian Food!!! – For someone that does not like to eat/go out, I must say that I finally found a restaurant that has a romantic, warm and inviting atmosphere-- with great food!! The maitre'd is always willing to help guide my family and I through the menu. The pasta dishes are delicious. Pasta alla vongole is a favorite. The polenta with sausage meat sauce is to die for. The pork chops w/balsamic, pan roasted apples and pears is out of this world. I discovered Degrezia a year ago and my wife loves me for it because it... read more
Really bad ! – I was thinking I am gonna have a nice dinner in that place that a friend of mine recommended to me , but beside the expensive prices that it has was nothing more. I had a bussines dinner there but it's a shame. Nice place to say but service was bad and we had problems with the food. I wouldn't recommend to nobody.
Best Italian food and service in NYC – I have been dining there for years and it keeps getting better. All I could say is the food was always very good, but now it's better than ever. The waiter mentioned to us the menu was changed in jan. and everyone is flipping over it. So if your in the area, you have to stop in, if you love great italian food and good service. We can't wait to go back Enjoy..
