Never stay at this place for the second time the owner switched our room on us and told us we had no other choice even though we booked the specific room we wanted almost 2 months in advance and we were guaranteed that room only to show up at check in time to be told we couldn’t have that one . They gave us a room on the second floor which we explained that I couldn’t climb stairs and needed a room on the first level the owner said that it was my problem and I had to deal with it. In early May, I booked 7 rooms via Expedia for July 18. I received the confirmation emails from both Expedia and Deerview Lodges. Later on, two families cancelled the trip. So we reserved 5 rooms for 5 families. On July 18, at noon time, I received a phone call from this motel and was told they were closed and had no rooms available for us. I asked the lady who called me why they didn't inform Expedia earlier. She said they did but Expedia forgot to upgrade the website. A bit dated but priced accordingly. On the main highway but I didn't hear traffic so that's a plus! On the trans Canada trail so fun walking!
