In early May, I booked 7 rooms via Expedia for July 18. I received the confirmation emails from both Expedia and Deerview Lodges. Later on, two families cancelled the trip. So we reserved 5 rooms for 5 families. On July 18, at noon time, I received a phone call from this motel and was told they were closed and had no rooms available for us. I asked the lady who called me why they didn't inform Expedia earlier. She said they did but Expedia forgot to upgrade the website. A bit dated but priced accordingly. On the main highway but I didn't hear traffic so that's a plus! On the trans Canada trail so fun walking!

The first part of my experience with Deerview Lodge and Cabins was mostly positives. Rooms are nothing extraordinary but work for someone who needs a place to sleep. My experience started to sour when I had to check out early to head home. The gentleman in charge made it very clear that he was not going to be refunding me the nights that I was not going to stay. I was visiting a friend but there's very little here except your room. no laundry facility either for guests...it's a good place to stay if you're exhausted by travelling and need a rest. no perks, no frills just plain...if you have no expectation it's perfect! 😉
