When I discovered Deer Park Monastery I didn’t know what to expect. I knew I was looking for my inner peace and that’s exactly what I found. It’s about 1.30 minutes from where I live but I don’t mind the drive.
It is such a peaceful place where you can come to truly live your moment of life and enjoy the beauty of nature: The Earth, The Sun, The Wind, birds singing, green trees, fresh air, beautifully mindful people, etc.
There is peace among the many facets of life.
It was a beautiful experience despite the rain. The rain felt like a good cleansing and the mealtime was very special, especially eating in quiet mindfulness. A great way to start our Thanksgiving day connecting with nature and remembering our ancestors.
Beautiful and loving experience
Warm, welcoming and genuine residents spent the day with us sharing their sangha, dharma and food. It was a lovely day of unwinding from the hustle of everyday life. A great reminder that mindfulness can be practiced any time; but a definite day to recharge.
A stunningly natural and magical experience. Will be back very soon.
