My father was in the rehab unit at Deer Lodge Centre for the last month, after suffering a stroke and being in two other Winnipeg hospitals. His initial prognosis in mid-September was dire, and if he lived, he wasn't expected to be able to speak or walk. However, he slowly and steadily improved and is now doing both. The team at the rehab unit on the 2nd floor of DL deserves much of the credit.
