10 days later and still no return call for a simple prior authorization. Now I'm 3 days late on taking my weekly script. Kind of doctor to avoid, apparently.

The Dr just hung up on me when I about what the ETA is for sending a Prior Authorization. This is after the woman, Carol, who is in charge of scripts passed the phone to Dr because she wasn’t successful with moving the goal post. When I asked her, what is the ETA For sending a prior authorization, she told me that they are very busy there and understaffed and it could take a week. Dr. DeSilva called me regarding a letter I wrote to her about my experience at her office. She explained her side of the situation as I patiently listened. I began to respond to clarify myself. She immediately interrupted me, spoke over me and was insistent on simply getting her point across. I asked her if she could please allow me to speak as I had not interrupted her. Dr. DeSilva is a fantastic physician. She explained very clearly how I would be successful in my journey on a healthy weight loss plan. She is very straightforward yet compassionate. Her advice has been extremely helpful. The office staff (Carol) is also very caring and attentive.
