I cannot recommend this place enough! The food was amazing, the portions were plentiful, the service was top notch and the price cannot be beat. The owner was super nice and attentive to our needs. The style of cooking is Mississippi not North Carolina so it a bit different but delicious. The menu is limited but that is fine. Do a few things and do them well is a great concept to follow. Just what Asheville needs! What a gem in a city with so many pretentious restaurants. Originally being from Texas and having previously lived in large cities with a variety of southern food restaurants, I've missed real southern cooking. Everything here is made from scratch and delicious. I got the chicken tenders and the breading was perfectly seasoned. My sides, fried okra, mashed potatoes, and hushpuppies were spot on. Came here in a whim. Learned iit had only been open 3 months. I asked the waiter what to get and he suggested the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious. I then learned the waiter was actually the owner. Chris is a really great and genuine guy and opened the resturant to make a good and affordable place for the community to eat. I would definitely come here with friends any time of day:
