After the deck was stained, large shiny pink blemishes, from the old solid stain remain, and large shiny blotches occurred because the stain was allowed to pool in certain areas instead of being wiped down. The deck is leveled with small scraps of wood stacked on top each other over the pier blocks. The stairs were not properly sanded, resulting in large scratches with black, red, and brown streaks.
