RecommendedKim was extremely helpful and informative in helping us solve a decking problem and evaluating the safety of our wrap around deck. He let us know that what needed to be done could easily be done ourselves to save us a lot of money. He obviously knows what he is talking about and understands the issues of a Pacific NW deck. Based on this experience I would highly recommend him. When it is time to build a deck, he will be the first person I call.
They like to rip you off on $20,000 worth of work. A $500 discount is crap. Probably to busy dicking around instead of decking around.

Unlike other reviewers, we hadn't read any of Kim's published articles and didn't know he was Nationally recognized... BUT he did come highly recommended by our good friends at Dickey's Remodeling, and that personal recommendation spoke so well of Artistry in Decks / Deck Builders that we did not look further nor compare quotes, and even waited til the end of summer for construction because they were so booked. I have a large deck that goes around 3 sides of my hous. Kim created a beautiful deck and was helpful in making repairs when needed. His crew was professional an courteous and I would highly recommend him and his company.
