Great job by Deckmasters! We have had the deck for 2 years now and it still looks and feels brand new. High recommend giving Pat a call if you are in the market for a deck.
I recently had a deck installed on my new home by Deckmasters of Pittsburgh. We met the owner Pat at the spring home show and him give us an estimate. We also got estimates from several other contractors. Pat's estimate was on the lower side and we liked his design, so we decided to go with him. The job was never completed. Unhappy with the poor communication as well. We had a deck put on two years ago. The railing and spindles were all scratched up. They replaced them with ones equally as scratched up. Pat said they just needed to come by and polish them. Despite many calls, he never did. Then we started demanding that he come and replace the scratched pieces. He started fully ignoring our calls or would text back “don’t have enough men now. They built a *hitty deck and Pat refuses to answer a call or call back to fix it even though it’s under warranty. Pat is quite the scam artist!!
We had a $14,000-$15,000 deck built in 2010 by DeckMasters and last year the deck started to sink over the hill. Now the deck is not level, unsafe, and unusable. Even though Pat explained to us that the deck is under warranty for 25 years, he will not stand by his warranty or word. Pat claims it’s a material issue, but we had a reputable deck company out for their opinion, and they found a section of the deck that is not supported properly and is a craftsmanship issue.
