I came basically for the onion rings and I was going to get a burger. The cheapest Burger on the menu is like $15 who were they trying to fool? We ordered one order of chicken tenders with coleslaw and hush puppies! They had no onion rings. What a pitiful plate!!!! I was gonna leave a picture but there isn't an option!
Website looked fun on FaceBook so went here for lunch after Walnut Cove Spring festival. Menu was not as shown on website. Waited for awhile for service and food. Hamburger was overcooked and tasteless, fish was burnt, kids meals were not tasty and drink refills were slow; with just 2 other tables occupied. Prices were ridiculous. Then realized...Olympic diner was right up the road.

The choices were very limited. Pricing was high for the portion size I got. It was $16 for salisbury steak & mashed potatoes. The worst part-the mashed potatoes were instant. Not what I expected from a "scratch kitchen." Disappointed with the portion size but the instant potatoes is what ruined the entire experience.
We have been 3-4 times in the last few months and they have really made some great changes around here! This is a scratch kitchen, so yes, it takes a bit longer to get your food, but while you are there you can get some fresh air and good music! The prices may be a little higher, but you truly get some of the highest quality food in Walnut Cove. My most recent order was a Philly cheesesteak sub and the fresh mozzarella and well seasoned steak made it one of the best I’ve ever had.
