The majority of this clients statements were absolutely false total fabrication. Weather was a factor on getting started the project was supposed to be a deck redo over existing framing, once we started demolition we realize that a certain segments over an existing roof was totally rotted and in disrepair. We inform the client that this would delay the project and substantial repairs are required client approved moving forward and assured us that he would pay any additional expenses. I had the pleasure of working with Deckbuilders Unlimited in the fall of 2017. They were able to complete a room addition for about $22000.00 which saved me at least $10000 from another company. The owner, Daryl was very professional and was able to give me a preview of what the room would look like in the initial sitting. I highly recommend this company.
We wanted to screen in our back porch and solicited five proposals. Not only did Deck Builders Unlimited LLC came out ahead with a competitive bid, but Daryl's (owner 's) sales approach was professional, friendly and not high pressured. He won our trust and we are extremely impressed with the final result. Daryl assigned a veteran carpenter to build our screened in porch. I contracted with Deck Builders in March 2016 with a start date of May 5 2016. the work did not start until the end of July, was built incorrectly and did not pass inspections, they did not call for a final inspection, and destroyed a 6 ft oak tree. They did not compensate me for the loss of the tree even tho they agreed to do so and caused me to miss the use of my deck and cancellation of several events due to the late start date. This customer has made several misleading and false statements, all inspections footing, framing and final have been signed off by the City of Columbus and passed. We didn't destroy 6ft oak tree totally false. It was explained to customer from the beginning and stated in writing what the warranty covered.
We just had our deck finished and we could not be more pleased. Daryl is awesome to deal with and responds quickly to any questions or concerns. This company works WITH you and not the other way around. They will do their best to get you want you want within your budget. I really cant say enough good things. They also back up their builds for a year in case of any unforeseen defects in the wood, etc. As stated by other reviews, they are busy and tend to be a little behind schedule. I wanted to wait awhile before I wrote my review. My deck was completed end of August/early September of 2016. First, I want to say that Daryl is an awesome person. He knows his decks and he was very helpful in the creating what I wanted by just talking to me. The deck came out beautiful and I love it!!.. I have several friends that were just blown away with it.
