My son has used Decatur's Garage for years and has received commendable, affordable service. Based on his recommendation, I took my BMWs to them for every need ranging from inspection to engine service. I have always been impressed with their service, their friendly persona, their expertise and their cost. I recommend them to my friends. It's difficult to find a firm so reliable, honest, reputable and customer-oriented.
After read the reviews, this is the first time I decide to let Decatur's do the state inspection for my 1999 CRV. After a few hours, finish the jobs and come to tell me everything okay and let my car pass...Wow! I feel so lucky to find the right station do this jobs for my car, this never happen in my pass 10 more years. Just want to say thank you to Decatur's, for so honest to customers, and thanks to those Decatur's old customers who let me know about Decatur's... I went there today for an inspection after reading all the positive reviews. Decatur's is in a nice neighborhood with some things to do nearby while you wait. The staff was professional and very helpful with a few questions I had about registration and inspection. I would go again if the need arises.
Decatur's is the best--reasonable rates, work done in a timely manner, honest people. If they don't do it, they can recommend someone else you can totally trust.
I was referred by a personal friend and local business owner to Decaturs after a dealership quoted me a ridiculous amount of money to have some work done on my vehicle. Totally trustworthy honest mechanics! I have been using their services ever since moving into the neighborhood 14 years ago. Can't believe how lucky I am to have such a great garage so close to where I live. Best garage I've ever used...without a doubt!
Want great personal service? From people you can trust?- this is the place to go...the last review is totally out of character from Rich and crew that i suspect that the person may have not mentioned their issue with them. I feel certain they would have bent over backwards to make things right. I challenge them to call Decatur's and ask for a refund and the post about what happened. I brought my car in to get an inspection at this local garage. Virginia inspection costs $16, but my bill at the end of the day was $64!!!! When I left the car I specifically said that I only needed an inspection, but they took it upon themselves to change a fog light bulb (NOT REQUIRED FOR VIRGINIA STATE INSPECTION) and a headlight bulb (WHICH WASN'T DEAD WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR IN).
