Had a cracking afternoon at De Capel Wines. David was a brilliant host, really accommodating, full of interesting stories and clearly knows his stuff. The wines were excellent, so much so that we walked out with a mixed dozen and he even looked after us with a members discount. I’m sitting here writing this with a glass of their 2021 Chardonnay in hand and it is bloody sensational. We’ll absolutely be back. Next mission is the homemade wood fired pizza!
DeCapel wines is a must visit in the Hunter Valley. David is lovely and made us feel very welcome, and the wines are delicious! Even our puppy came and had the best time running around with everyone! Thanks David and we will be back!
