Friendly Price Gouging . I Took my X5 in for check engine light. They charged me almost $300 just for the diagnostic and a verbal estimate for repair that seemed really high for the recommended repair. I think they thought I would just go ahead and have them do the work, but I took the X5 back the same day saying I wanted to check around. I was in a hurry when I picked my car up and just assumed a written repair quote was in the stack of papers I was handed when I payed the diagnostic fee.
