As a mental health professional, I can say firsthand how intentional this program is. Lots of experiential activities for kiddos and experienced staff to help facilitate change. Great program!
The therapists at Decade2Connect are skilled, compassionate, and personable - as a fellow clinician, I trust them to work with kids, teens, and families. They emphasize family support in their work with kids, and they even have a parent night which I’ve heard great things about!
My family came to Decade2Connect at a point when my 10 year old daughter's mental health made it so that she could no longer function at school, with peers, or in society at large. Her team of Psychologists were discussing whether it was time for hospitalization. I was devastated, depressed, and felt entirely hopeless with no sense of things ever getting better. Last year Decade2Connect hosted a 6 week drop in parent/caregiver support group, and I must say it was one of the best parental support experiences I have ever had! Through the program I learned so many new therapeutic tools for personal development and parenting my neurodivergent son. I feel that I came in feeling pretty broken BUT after the sessions left with a brand-new perspective and confidence!
