I stopped appointments with her after three sessions for a few reasons: 1) she wasn't able to set a predictable schedule for weekly appointments; 2) she didn't show up for a scheduled appointment; 3) the first 20-30 minutes of each session were more about pleasantries and her dog than they were centered on my daughter. I reached out to this therapist and at first she did not respond. I reached a second time and she just said 'no' . That's it, just one word without offering any other options or acting as if she cared at all. Very unhelpful.This was my email: Hi. I need a therapist for severe depression and probably PMDD. My insurance gave me your contact. I’d rather meet via telehealth if possible, but I will come in person if I must. I’m just trying everything before I give up entirely. Thanks.
Dr. Deb was our in home therapist for less than a year. I agree with a previous review that her technique is severely outdated. It is dismissive and invalidating for the child. Shortly after we received a dx from her, she dropped us without notice and did not show up for anymore weekly sessions out of the blue. I do not recommend her services for any type of therapy.
Dr. Deb restrained my son for giving her a bad attitude. Her techniques are outdated and our experience with her lead to more trauma for our kids.
Our family has experienced her therapy for our son's Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade years. Dr. Weidinger gives us accurate, honest communication. She is a critical resource for our son's success.
