Very inconsistent and hurtful. She disappointed me on several occasions. She would assume things as I was speaking to her. For example if I was telling her about a traumatic event she would say “ and that made you feel very upset right? “. Let me speak and all your questions will be answered. She was constantly late and she would always interrupt me and I had to repeat the same things several times.

Poor sense of direction ,lacks integrity, does not have the knowledge of any particular field in psychology ,is very untrustworthy.Do not use this Dr.,and instead find one of the many well regarded psychologists easily found in Manhattan.Avoid!

I strongly recommend that for all Manhattan residents who need an excellent dedicated ethical psychologist that you avoid Dr.Stark.Having read some of the negative reviews herein and seeing the poor total ratings I concur, avoid her.

Dr Stark should be avoided as indicated by a very recent patient who wrote so eloquently regarding her horrific adventures with the so called Dr.Stark who seems to have no direction ,patience ,or time for a patient, seemingly absent minded and lacking a course of action. Please for your own self interest and as someone who has seen Dr.Stark and can tell you, find a different psychologist ,they are all around us and many better ones than Stark can be located in Psychology Today with referrals and insurance details.

My experiences with Dr. Stark were decidedly positive and I was a patient for a very long time.I do hope she recognizes who this is, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Stark to anyone needing a good listener who cares very much about her patients, makes herself very available and is knowledgeable about the subject matter at hand.I did actually recommend several people to Dr.Stark

Absolutely horrible. At the time I was suffering from undiagnosed bipolar disorder, and was being treated as unipolar depression. I was also suffering from steroid induced psychosis. When I would tell her that I had no complete controll of my emotions, she would invalidate them. She blamed my casual pot smoking, and guy I was seeing for the reason of my problems. Also, she was constantly late and then rushing you through your appointment for the next person. Avoid at all cost.

Absolutely horrible and traumatizing. Avoid at all costs, she came off as such a nice person in the beginning (while scheduling appointment and initial phone conversation to get a brief connection / understanding of your needs etc.) but in person, she was absoloutely awful and said and did many unprofessional and hurtful things. Will only make you sicker. AVOID.
