I feel disappointed and frustrated after my experiences with Dr. Gahr. I had been seeing her for a few years and I was disheartened by how dismissive she was when I asked about menopause and HRT. Literally told me we will talk about that later. I tried over two appointments to get info! I have been with Dr. Deborahh Gahr for a few years now and would like to be with her as long as I can. Dr. Gahr is very gentle, attentive and willing to give suggestions for any actionable plans when needed. Her assistant Lisa is also very nice. Even though I haven't seen that many doctors in NYC, I would highly recommend Dr. Gahr.

Do NOT go to this doctor. I went once for a Pap smear and they called me saying I needed to get a biopsy but my friend who is an OB told me there is a standard guideline based on certain criteria and that I in fact did NOT need the biopsy (this was after I had gotten it). And during the biopsy (which I’m sure they did because they wanted more money) I fainted and felt nauseous and they didn’t even have Barr bags.
