I have been shopping at Debnam's for over 5 years. it is a small hardware store compared to the big box stores. The selection is of items is plentiful and the service is better than the big box stores. The prices are competitive with the big box stores and many times it has lower prices. Also Debnams supplies items that the big box stores do not carry which has gotten me out of several jams. Thank you Zeke350! I have lived here nearly 15 years and shop all over Wake County. This is THE WORST store I have ever encountered in my life. I don't know how they can get away with treating people so terribly. They better get used to it, with population explosion not slowing down anytime soon. It hasn't for a handful of years, and not only are they behaving as if they are the only people on the Universe, the store seems to be only for "certain and preferred" customers. My family moved South to this area in 1999. My wife and I frequently shop at Debnam's. They are well-stocked, so we rarely have to go elsewhere for whatever we need. The hours are shorter than some other chain stores, and they are closed on Sundays, but the friendly service by people who know their products, know the area, and know their customers keeps us coming back.
I have lived in the community of Zebulon, NC, for nearly eight years and when I first stepped into the local Ace Hardware Store eight years ago I had ugly service from the sales personnel and unfriendly service from the checkout counter.. I decided then, never to shop there again.. I will drive twenty miles out of my way to avoid this store... I tell everyone I know about my bad experience and to avoid this store.
