We hired Dale to cut down a tree. He never came on time and after 2 or 3 days the tree was still not finished. He advised he would be out the next morning to finish. We were leaving for vacation the next day and told him we would leave the payment under the mat on the front porch. When we got back home a few days later the check was gone and the tree still there.
