I am out-of-state and learned about Dean Hills Saab online to acquire about parts for my 2004 Saab 9-3 CVT. Roland reviewed my local mechanic's report and reviewed codes and numerous pictures and videos. Numerous calls later, he delivered the news: this repair was not worth the investment. In the end, he saved me thousands of dollars. Lesson learned from talking to Roland - if you drive in the snow and salt, make sure you keep the car's under carriage maintained.

Roland is top notch! A few years ago, he sold me and installed a converted brand new front subframe to fit my 2010 9-3 XWD sedan, and for the work required to change out my severely rotted out subframe, I thought he was very reasonable! They are not easy to change! I then spotted a 2011 9-3 XWD Aero sedan, several months later with 68,400mi on it and moved up to that on a trade, since I was pushing 180,000mi on the 2010. The service on my Volvo was pricey, I felt. Overall the lack of clear communication from Roland was the biggest source of disappointment for me. The mechanical issues that I was told over the phone as well as the price I was quoted on the phone were not the same as the day when I went to pick up the auto. He kept trying to show me worn out parts from my car after the service, instead of just answering my direct questions. He kept laughing off my questions and changing the subject.
