Incredible! Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s Quality food and you are in Napa. The lobster Mac & cheese is AMAZING! Had a bite of my friends fried chicken and it was also very good! My suggestion would be to go when you have time to really look around, then make your decision! Very friendly staff! I’ll definitely be back!
I’m a food snob, so I guess snobby employees are fine by me! I buy the truffle oil and salad dressings. Although, buying crudité items are great as well for after wine tasting.
I like the store interior and atmosphere, employees were nice, but the outside seating area is nonexistent!!! It’s almost as if they want you to spend money, but then don’t linger. They have the tables and patio where you can stand at, but that is it. I definitely like the Oakville Grocery BETTER because of this. The Oakville Grocery is much more welcoming and inviting!!!
This VERY high-end deli/kitchen goods/gourmet shop is the ultimate in all-things-gourmet! I could spend hours here just ogling all the goodies. (And did!) The Marconi almonds, infused with herbs or chilis or cheese, are to die for. We will go back to put together a Christmas box for a family member. Oh, the Dean and DeLuca totes are great for grocery or any kind of shopping. LOVE MINE!
We've been friends of Dean & DeLuca since the opening of the original flagship store in New York City decades ago. While it would be unjust to call Dean & DeLuca a 'grocery store' (it's not) it's so much more. A 'food emporium' would more aptly describe this glorious deli / grocer / wine shop / cook and book store. The products offered, and the expertise they're proffered with are consistently world class. Sadly, Dean & DeLuca Shoppes are too rare and hard to access outside of NYC. So yourself very lucky if one is convenient... read more
