Never had a visit ! After 6 weeks of waiting for a consult, with shoulder pain and arm weakness, I was informed that Dr. Kostov would not see me. He never reviewed my MRI clearly showing a nerve impingement at C5&6. The doctor said he could do nothing for me. This was despite a referral from an Orthopedic surgeon in the same medical group. I have a Acoustic Neuroma, I met with Dr. Kostov Mar 15 to discuss Gamma Knife Surgery. We then scheduled the procedure for Mar 21. He explained everything in detail about the treatment and what go expect before and after. He is and excellent Neurosurgeon that listens to you and cares about his patients.

I was seen by Dr. Kostov for emergency surgery, he was abrasive, cold and only introduced himself after my fiancé introduced himself. My fiancé watched as a team from riverside ER escorted me back to my ER room. He made no effort to explain or alleviate any of my fears or concerns but made time to explain in detail that he and his staff had been waiting at the hospital since 3 pm (he was the on call doctor for the practice). I was transferred from Riverside Doctor's Hospital in Williamsburg.

Dr Kostov is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend him. His talents are exceptional.

Dr. Kostov explained what needed to be done to my back and why. He answered my questions, which I had mostly prepared at home after thinking abut my back problems and the upcoming surgery. I was told he could not improve my back pain more than 75% . After nearly 11 months, I am not walking or able to stand consistently as I had expected. The initial pain is gone, but is replaced with periodic pain at the incision site.
