RecommendedThe screenings are a great opportunity to see films that you would not normally see in theaters. The social events are a great opportunity to meet the filmmakers and supporters of the festival.
An absolute pleasure to be a part of this festival with our short film "Baby Won't You Please Come Home." The organization was fantastic, the filmmakers/distributor meet ups were super useful, the parties were all really fun, and most importantly the quality of the films was universally strong. Our film played to packed audiences at both of its screenings. I would recommend this festival to short filmmakers, feature filmmakers, and film fans in general.
The one word that comes to mind for deadCenter is CLASSY. My film Lunch Ladies played there. I couldn’t believe when they picked me up from the airport, helped me get my pass, and dropped me off at the hotel (their partner hotel is 21c Museum - what a gorgeous place). Talk about hospitality! This film festival is so much fun! The screenings are amazing as the selection committee brings the best films to Oklahoma City for this festival. So fun to hang out with writers, directors, musicians and actors for a weekend. Very inspiring!
Well-organized, amazing volunteers, wonderful films, saw friends, made new ones, great catering, parties, and quality programming, panels and interesting things to do every day. All you need is a time portal for us to be able to return and see everything.
