I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Dead River. Out of nowhere, I received a $900 propane delivery that I never ordered. When I called customer service to explain the situation, they were no help at all. They just shrugged it off and suggested I must have been 'hacked.' Instead of acknowledging the mistake or offering a solution, they simply told me they'd give me more time to pay for the propane I never asked for. I called Dead River to set up an account on a home we purchased in Vermont. They guy I spoke with to get the account set up was not overly friendly and could have cared less. He took no credit info and when I said I needed a delivery as we were at or below a quarter tank he just said they'd take care of it. A week later they had not come and we were almost out of oil. Wouldn't give me a price on furnace installation without a credit check. Then refused the install a brand new furnace unless I purchased it from them. Nice job dead river. Not handled well.

Just moved back to St Johnsbury VT in early December and Dead River customer service and delivery have been awesome! Inside customer service took care of a few things on my account that were not correct and I wanted fixed after I purchased my home, all done with accuracy and in a timely manner! Highly recommend Dead River
