Great beer selection,good pinball machines, and the best comraderie to be found in Arcata. I see it basically as the Arcata "Cheers" bar.
There is no finer tap house I've ever visited. The beers, the music, the pinball, and the kind kilt-wearing owner, all amazing. And bring-your-own-food is a plus, not a minus IMO. If you want a place with a kitchen, plush chairs, and canned music, please keep walking - this is not the vibe for you.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I think this is my favorite tap house in America. This place is amazing. My favorite type of beer is a barrel aged imperial stout. It's pretty rare I find a place that has even one on tap. This place had six! The amount of very high quality and hard to find beers here is mind blowing. We chatted with the owner for a bit, and he was such a nice and knowledgeable guy, he even let us in the back to browse more to-go beers that weren't available in the tap house.
