Dr. De Matos balances wonderful bedside manner with her vast knowledge of gastroenterology, to which she continually adds by keeping up with the latest research. She passes on her knowledge through lectures and heading up a fellowship for teaching students. Her cheery, positive attitude is calming and reassuring. Dr. DeMatos knew of my daughters awful illness for 10 years and brushed it off till her last test then told us how very ill she was and that she'd keep her on her meds till she saw the specialists at the hosp out of state. A month before we were due out there She cut her her meds and thank god her pediatrician thought that was reckless and pull her back on them to keep her out of the er every evening
