Was fairly expensive, but everything we had was good. It was very well plated. We arrived in Taos on a Sunday night and didn't realize the majority of the restaurants were closed. We were grateful this was open and we were able to get in right away. They gave an amuse bouche before dinner that was beautiful and had good flavor, but seemed like it had been prepared much earlier. Their drink menu is great.
I recently went to De La Tierra for my 4th or 5th time. The food is consistently delicious, beautifully plated, and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was uncomfortable. There was just one other table w a crying infant, and the lighting was so bright! We mentioned it to the server, who agreed, and said there was nothing she could do about it. It definitely impacted the mood, we felt like we were in a bus station. Service was… odd. Food was just ok. We made a dinner reservation, but were still seated in the breakfast area. The server was a bit odd, he stood unnecessarily close to us but was also dismissive and short at times. Would not recommend even if staying at the resort. Go to Lamberts down the street instead. Vegetarian options were very limited.
Absolutely stunning dining area with thoughtfully prepared cuisine.
